Spring 2008
Welcome to our quarterly newsletter. Think Spring – even
though it doesn't look or feel like it with the snow flurries continuing.
We are thinking Spring as in cleaning, weather that brings
thunderstorms/lightning, and new products. In this issue we have ideas and
discounts to protect your phone and voice mail system as well as a
cleaning, MAC's, and upgrades.
While we are at it, thank you to all those customers that
gave us feedback on our first newsletter. We were pleased to hear from you
- both the kudos and suggestions of what you would like to see. We know
the economic situation is affecting everyone so we have a new program for
acquiring equipment which includes extended warranty, repair/service,
training, review of telco costs – all for a monthly payment. If you are
thinking about upgrading your systems, but laying out cash is not in the
picture, give us a call and we will be happy to explain the Managed
Services Agreement. A lot of bang for the buck.
As always, Thank You for your loyalty and business! We
appreciate and value our customers.

IT'S
THAT TIME OF YEAR - Spring
thunderstorms and rain showers will soon be here. Keep your
phones working, even in a blackout! Take this quiz to find out
how much a power outage could really cost your business.
A.) How much revenue does your company generate per business hour?
$_____
B.) What are your total labor costs per hour for people using the
phone? $_____
What can a 1 hour power blackout cost your business? (Add A+B)
$_____ |

|
Your phone is the
lifeblood to keep connected to your customers. The revenue they
provide will be interrupted if your phone system is without a power
back-up solution. The good news is that
your Toshiba phone system can maintain operation for an extended period of
time by installing the proper number of inexpensive 2-volt gel-cell,
maintenance-free batteries.
We
offer battery back-up for Toshiba systems starting at $150. Call us
today for a quote to add battery back-up, replace existing batteries, add
transient and lightning line protectors (line and station cards), or UPS
systems for external voice mail systems.
And we're having a Spring Sale to boot! Orders
placed in the month of April for back-up also include (pick one):
- 5% discount on Moves/Adds/Changes
to your existing system.
- 5% discount on our System Clean Up
package: update your system to the latest software level, physically clean
the system, reseat cards, and clean and provide new phone strips.
- 5% discount on phone/voicemail system administrator training, and/or
refresher training for end users.
- 5% discount on Voicemail System Clean Up
package: update your voicemail system to the current release level, add or
delete any subscriber mailboxes, set up cell phone notification, or change
templates level.
Contact your sales rep or service dispatch at 616-458-2999 ext. 17 for a
proposal. First come, first served! Offer expires
April 30th!

Customer
Care
- Moving?
Contact your account rep to confirm that you have all the information
you need to ensure a smooth move to a new location. We can
provide tips and guidance on requirements to relocate your existing
equipment, review wire practices, MDF room layout, and more.
- Expanding?
Contact your account rep for an appointment to review your existing
configuration and system options available for the expansion.
Your rep will provide a plan and a quote if required to add
phones/lines/features to make sure that your existing system will
accommodate the new requirements. We can provide a budget number
so you know what your true cost will be if you are growing.
- Changing line
providers or adding new services? Questions to
consider- will your existing equipment require a software or hardware
upgrade to provide for the new service? Will you need your
Central Interconnect technician to provide tone, testing, or cross
connects? If you are changing line providers, will you need
Central Interconnect on site during the day of turn up?
- Or are you just plain confused
by the quotes, telemarketing calls, and your current phone bills??
We can help you with an analysis of your existing lines, review phone
bills, advise if savings are available and/or applicable for bundle
services, secure pricing from several telco providers, and help you
evaluate the responses. Contact our service department at
616-458-2999 ext. 17 if you will be changing providers or need
assistance. We can help!

Tip: Auto Attendant Loss, No Inbound Calls!
 |
Did
the road repair folks just drive a backhoe through your buried
network cable breaking your link with the centralized Auto
Attendant? End result - inbound calls will no longer ring
through. If you are a user that has Auto Attendant turned
on to answer all inbound calls and experience a failure, here is a
work-around until your system is restored. Bypass Mode
via the Ring/Night Key enables you to change the ring mode to go
off-line from the auto attendant, allowing inbound calls.
There are several modes available under this key: day/night/other.
Typically Mode 2 will bypass the auto attendant. If you are
not sure, contact service at 616-458-2999 ext. 17 for your
Ring/Night Key programming. |

eManager Will Change the Way You Manage Multiple Strata CIX Equipment
Sites
| Toshiba
TSD is pleased to announce the release of Network eManager®.
Network eManager is designed to reduce the time needed to manage
multiple CIX™ equipment sites while its attractive, easy to use
interface allows for smooth navigation. Situations when an
administrator needs to configure multiple CIX systems as a group
include: |

|
-
Multiple CIX systems in
a Strata Net configuration.
-
Setting up several CIX
systems, at different sites, through the dealership LAN at the same
time.
-
Several sites, at
different geographical locations, each with its own CIX, all managed
centrally over a WAN.
The Network eManager
application changes the way the user can manage multiple CIX equipment
sites. While eManager can manage one CIX system during one
administration session, Network eManager can manage a group of CIX systems
in a single session.
Call your account rep for
more information on Network eManager.
